65,000 Jostle for 12,500 Admission Space in UNILORIN


No fewer than 65,000 candidates have obtained
admission forms for entrance into University of
Ilorin, UNILORIN with capacity to admit only
12,500 students. 73, 250 of the over 107,000
candidates that applied to the university this
year scored 180 marks and above.
About 65,000 candidates are expected to take
part in the post-UTME screening for the
2015/2016 admission into the University of Ilorin.
The week-long screening exercise, which started
on Monday will take place in Ilorin and Lagos.
Deputy Director, Corporate Affairs of the
institution, Mr. Kunle Akogun, said the screening
is for candidates who scored a minimum of 180
points in the 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (UTME) and selected University of
Ilorin their first choice. He noted that 73, 250 of
the over 107,000 candidates that applied to the
university this year scored 180 marks and above
at the UTME.
Akogun, however, explained that 65,000
candidates registered for the post-UTME of the
closing time on Sunday night.
