Provost Scores AAUA, Alumni High...As College Principal Officers Visit Varsity

The Provost of Al hikma College of Education,
Ankpa, Kogi State, Nigeria, Dr. Sani Haroon, has
rated high, the Adekunle Ajasin University,
Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, and its
alumni.
Dr. Haroon said AAUA is not only the best
university in Nigeria but that its graduates are
doing well in their various fields as teachers in
the college and other institutions in the State.
The Provost disclosed this when he led the
Management of the College on a courtesy call on
the AAUA Vice Chancellor, Prof. Igbekele
Ajibefun, on Wednesday penultimate week.
He said, “In the year 2008, the entire Al hikma
Community sought a prestigious and credible
University to affiliate with. And from our
investigation, we found that Adekunle Ajasin
University is one of the best Universities in the
country. So, we affiliated with AAUA because of
the credibility attached to the University. We are
happy to let you know that your graduates who
are working with the College are performing very
well.”
Dr. Haroon, who had earlier noted that the
purpose of the courtesy visit was to felicitate
with Prof. Ajibefun on his appointment as new
Vice Chancellor, said the team would also
discuss the existing bilateral relationship
between the College and AAUA.
Al hikma College of Education, Ankpa, Kogi State,
Nigeria, was affiliated to Adekunle Ajasin
University from 2010 to 2014.
Speaking, the Deputy Vice Chancellor
(Academic), Prof. (Mrs.) Oluyemisi Adebowale,
who received the team on behalf of the Vice
Chancellor, appreciated the College for the visit
and for showing keen interest in the University.
She said the University would consider the
College’s request for further affiliation and
communicate its (AAUA) decision to the College
in due course.
Prof. Adebowale emphasised the need for Al
hikma College to key into the University’s drive
for excellence and improve on its facilities as
requisite for probable further affiliation.
The DVC said, “On behalf of the Vice Chancellor,
we appreciate your coming and we also
appreciate the fact that you enjoyed the
affiliation you had with us. Your request (for
further affiliation) is noted. The University will
consider it and feed you back in due time. Let
me also emphasize the need for you to adhere
strictly to the University rules and regulations,
and operate within the National Universities
Commission, NUC, guidelines.”
