Post UTME Screening …EKSU commended
Ekiti State University is basking in the euphoria
of the conduct of flawless electronically
conducted Post UTME Screening for candidates
seeking admission into the University from the
2014/2015 academic session. The screening
Exercise was conducted for the first time, by the
staff of the University instead of the hitherto
practice of hiring vendors from outside the
institution.
The Computer based screening was handled at
the electronic Testing Centre in the Directorate
of Information and Communication Technology
(ICT) of the University.
The one week exercise where thousands of
candidates participated, has been described as
best in the annals of such exercise in the
University as adequate security and conducive
environment were provided.
Commenting, the Vice-Chancellor of EKSU, Prof.
Patrick Oladipo Aina remarked that this year’s
screening by the staff of the University unlike
past year’s exercise was unique in the sense
that it was handled by staff of the University.
He expressed delight that he was the first Vice-
Chancellor to achieve the feat in the history of
the University. According to him, some older and
first generation universities still hire vendors
adding that the innovation would save costs for
the University.
Candidates and parents alike commended the
University for providing adequate security and
conducive environment for the exercise.
